3D Modeling Building Information Modeling (BIM) Studies with Laser Scanners (Lidar)

When evaluated in terms of time and cost savings, 3D modeling makes Lidar technology indispensable in many sectors.

Using terrestrial laser scanners, 3D virtual reality coordinated models with mm precision are obtained. Scanned structures / objects can be moved to the computer screen as they are, and measurements (deformation, displacement, etc.) and calculations (length, area, volume) can be made on them.

By using laser scanners, an object or a building without CAD project is scanned and digitized using reverse engineering software, in other words, it is modeled in 3D. Reverse engineering applications that can be made with laser scanners are used in many different disciplines such as Civil Engineering / Architecture (BIM) / Geomatics / Archeology / restoration.

Through the measurements to be made on the buildings (inside/outside), damage assessment studies, deformation analyzes, slope/deflection calculations (in large structures such as roads/bridges) and the movements of the determined points over time are provided.
